Not for p*ssies, this is the first issue of No Man’s Land (NML), a magazine produced by We Are Batch, an all-female illustration and animation-driven digital studio (alongside NML, Gilgamesh Branding & Design created Batch's identity system and designed the studio's website). With work created by strong and unapologetic creative women from around the world, NML stands for the representation of female creatives on an equal playing field, free from discrimination or harassment. Regardless of whether you are a schooled feminist, or if you are stuck somewhere in the middle, or if you are not sure where you stand, borderline Neanderthal-like patriarchal beliefs and behaviours need to burn. This issue interrogates the experiences of creative women working within various still male dominated creative industries and communities in South Africa and other parts of the world.

Gilgamesh designed the publication, and Colophon co-published the zine in collaboration with the amazing women at Batch, printed in an edition of only 100 copies. Contributors include: Danielle Albertyn, Teri Anderson, Britt Appelgryn, Sammi Arman, Annika Brandow, Nazli Cem, Yana Chintsova, Cinzia Cioffi, Daniéla de Lange, Cristiana Alexandra de Sousa Figueiredo, Elizabeth Galian, Jane Guan, Mel Hayes, Ayesha Kaprey, Tamzyn La Gorce, Kim Longhurst, Cella Marcy, Nikki Meier, Eva Münnich, Alex Parker, Octavia Roodt, Emelia Schettino, RRoze Sélavy, Catherine Theodosopolous, Kamogelo Tselane.
